Artist Bio: Brian has been drawn to colors since he was a child, eyes aglow from the technicolor world of his childhood. A painting class in high school challenged him to recreate Van Gogh's "Cafe Terrace at Night," and the strobing stars and yellows awakened that child. He fell in love with the palette knife, which allows him to unleash the energy that lives in color - skipping and smearing the paint across the canvas until the chunks and streaks unveil another realm for the viewer to explore and disappear. Brian Higgins’s works have been featured in high profile exhibitions around the world through a collaboration with Alessandro Berni Gallery, including Art Basel Miami, Art Market San Francisco, Clio Art Fair New York, and World Art Dubai. He also auctions pieces to raise funds for charities.
