Artist: Maelani Blue

Artist Bio: Maelani Blue studied painting at the State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia. She moved to the USA in her early 20’s where she studied and pursued a career in graphic design. With a great passion for academic drawing, painting, traditional and modern printmaking, photography, and ceramics, she is always pushing herself. Maelani likes pushing her comfort zone to expand her skills and explore new fields. Her work is not static, it keeps changing with every new life experience. She challenges herself to experiment with a wide variety of styles and mediums to keep evolving. Her goal is to find a balance between simplicity and complexity and to be able to evoke an emotional response in a viewer.
